Created by makeup artist Albert Kurniawan, Téviant is a local makeup brand that is a spin on the name of Kurniawan’s mother, Tevianty.

Working with the likes of Jinkee Pacquiao, Heart Evangelista, Pia Wurtzbach, and Toni and Alex Gonazaga in his more than 10 years in the industry, he has cemented himself as one of the country’s most esteemed makeup artists.

To mark his 10th year in the Philippine makeup business, celebrity makeup artist Albert Kurniawan unveiled the first collection of his makeup brand, Teviant. His launch includes a collaboration with longtime friend and muse, Heart Evangelista!

Beauty brand Teviant may be new to our shores, but its founder, Albert Kurniawan, is by no means a novice to the industry. With more than a decade of experience, the Philippines-based Indonesian makeup artist is well known for his work with the region’s famous faces.

Who could have thought that Albert, an Indonesian, who didn’t know how to speak Filipino, can adapt so well in the Philippines—even becoming a well-known makeup artist who can speak a minimum of four languages including Tagalog. Not one to rest on his laurels, he questioned himself on what he should be doing next. 

July 2023 also marks a big milestone in the timeline of Teviant, the brand by makeup artist Albert Kurniawan. Say hello to Velvet Drop: a multi-use tinted mousse serum in a jar. The product is Teviant’s first big launch in the post-pandemic world.
